Clean Fill & Soil Skip Bins

The cost depends on the bin size, your location and the amount of material you need to dispose of. At Cheapa Skips, we keep pricing straightforward, with delivery, collection, tipping fees and GST included. Contact our team for an accurate quote based on your project.

Clean fill bins are designed for uncontaminated soil and natural earth, including topsoil, garden soil, clay, sand and small gravel or rocks up to 30mm. Pool excavation material, footings and other clean excavated earth can also go in the bin.

Generally, no. Soil and clean fill need to stay separate from concrete, bricks, timber, green waste and general rubbish. Keeping materials separated helps ensure they can be processed and disposed of correctly. If you have mixed waste, ask us about the right bin for your project.

That depends on how much material you need to remove. 2–3m³ bins suit smaller garden projects, 4–6m³ bins work well for medium excavations and landscaping jobs, while 8–10m³ bins are better suited to larger excavation projects. Not sure what you need? Tell us what you’re digging out and we can help.

Yes. Same-day and next-day delivery is available across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, subject to availability. If you need a bin urgently, contact us as early as possible and we’ll do our best to get it to you.

Soil is extremely heavy, so every bin has a maximum weight allowance. Overloading can make the bin unsafe to transport and may result in additional charges or collection delays. If you’re unsure how much soil you have, our team can help you choose an appropriate bin size.

If your bin is placed on private property, such as a driveway, you generally won’t need a permit. A permit may be required if the bin is placed on a public road, footpath or nature strip. Requirements vary between councils, so check with your local council or ask our team when booking.

Our standard hire period is up to seven days, giving you plenty of time to tackle most projects. Need it for longer? Let us know when booking and we can discuss an extended hire period.

No. Soil and clean fill need their own dedicated skip bin because of their weight and how they are processed. Mixing soil with general waste can result in the load being rejected or additional charges. If you have both types of waste, we can help you arrange separate bins.

For skip bin purposes, clean fill generally refers to natural, uncontaminated material such as soil, sand, clay and small gravel or rocks. It must be free from rubbish, chemicals, hazardous substances and other waste. If you’re unsure whether your material qualifies, give us a call before booking.

Wet soil can be significantly heavier than dry soil, which can affect the weight of your load. Where possible, consider covering the bin during wet weather and avoid overfilling it. If rain is forecast, our team can also help you plan your bin size and collection.

Yes. Small gravel and rocks up to 30mm can generally be loaded alongside clean soil, sand and clay. Larger rocks, concrete, bricks, pavers and other building rubble need a different waste solution.

Pool excavations can produce a surprisingly large amount of heavy soil, so the right bin size depends on the pool’s dimensions and excavation depth. A 4m³ bin may suit smaller pool projects, while larger digs can require multiple bins. Give us the details and we can help estimate what you’ll need.
